Description
These treed are now on dry land and knocked over by vandals. The Salton Sea has long since dried up at least 50 meters past these dead trees. I found these trees while exploring a now dry marina on Red Rock Point on the east side of the Salton Sea. It was windless, glass smooth water and extremely hot out. At the base of the muddy beach our feet sunk way in and the mud stunk like sulfur. My friend lost his shoe in the mud! Haha!

What a fascinating place you are documenting.

It's so crazy that these trees are now high and dry and pushed over by vandals.

Thank you Fraida. I'm about 20 minutes from where it all starts. It's really wonderful to just be able to see interesting sky and take off to a location 30 minutes away. Do you know the history of the Salton Sea? It's quite an amazing natural and manmade location. I put a short bit about it on my website and then Wikipedia has a pretty good history too.
