Description
These trees are now on dry land and knocked over by vandals. The Salton Sea has long since dried up at least 50 meters past these dead trees. I found these trees while exploring a now dry marina on Red Rock Point on the east side of the Salton Sea. It was windless, glass smooth water and extremely hot out. At the base of the muddy beach our feet sunk way in and the mud stunk like sulfur. My friend lost his shoe in the mud! Haha!

Beautiful capture. Glad you were able to photograph these lovely trees before they were destroyed.

Love how crisp and clear the reflection of the tree is in the water. Your description said it was extremely hot out but the beautiful blue of the sky and water with the pinkish break above center made it seem like a cool, wintery day for me. I would never guess from how beautiful this is that it had a stinky smell and was mucky. Great image.
