Description
I found this location while driving to the Salton Sea for a photo shoot. I had to take a potty break and hopped over the ridge to my right. You can just see a highway sign to the left of the tree stump. I didn't want to edit anything out. Fortunately I brought my camera with me. Why, I don't know, kinda weird, however, when I turned around I saw this view and was lucky enough to grab it. There is a definite feel of desolation here even though it's only a few meters off of the main road.

Hey Scott ... appreciate your recent visit and kind note, especially considering the high calibre of your own amazing photographic artwork!! This one really grabbed me as I was cruising through your portfolio ... you have nailed that amazing late-day light ... and the composition is perfection. Love the interest of the dead trees against those glorious mountains ... wow and wow!!!! l/f and tweeted

Thank you Lois, what amazes me is that most of the area surrounding the Salton Sea is as dystopian as this image due to the nature of dreams being abandoned. It's a very interesting place for sure.
