What a wonderful photograph....voted.

Scott Campbell replied:

Thanks Anne, I was really lucky to catch this one. The stream is always changing level and thus reflection zones. It just worked out.

The lines in this one are one of the things that really struck me as being different than the typical Cathedral Rock shot. Lots of photographers around me, not one down on the ground looking at both the fore, middle and background. Thanks for noticing.

Artist's Description

I shot these two views of Cathedral Rocks on a Thanksgiving trip to Sedona AZ. These are actually two separate images, not a crop of the more wide angle image. There were other photographers here, but not one got close to the ground to see what might be brought into the foreground of the image. I shot these about a foot off the ground. This is a single exposure photograph of Cathedral Rock in Sedona AZ, USA taken at sunset, close to the ground, on tripod with a Canon 5dMK3 and 24-70 lens.

About Scott Campbell

R. Scott Campbell - “I am a child of God with a camera.” My goal and passion is to capture and create imagery that shows a tiny fraction of the beauty of God’s Creation. I do believe that everything (entire universes as Stephen Hawking describes) was created and is still being created, and will continue to be created by God long after we have gone back to be with our creator. When I remember that everything I see is part of God’s creation, I see beauty in everything and thus I am motivated and inspired. Fine art photography has been a passion since 1984. From 2003 – 2016 I was in business as a commercial photographer. Now I am a busy & successful fine artist. I have been blessed to be a galleried, juried,...
