Artist's Description
The Jeffrey's pine tree has fascinated me since I was a kid. Its cones are huge and can reach 1/3 to 1/2 meter in length. On older trees the bark is inches thick with huge crevasses and wonderful textures. The surface of the bark sheds little divots leaving beautiful close up patterns. From a photographer's perspective, the close up and distance are fascinating on these Pine Trees.
