Description
This winding road photo is a long exposure, night photograph, similar to light painting or light graffiti. The nightlights on the twisty road are blurred car headlights. The city lights are from palm desert California. The road is highway 74 or Palms to Pines highway which goes from Palm Desert all the way up to Idyllwild. This specific shot was taken in the winter of a relatively heavy el ninio. The desert does become green here and it's quite amazing when it does. I've traveled this road perhaps 1000 or more times. I lived up this mountain for several years and drove the road 2-4 times a day. Wow was it fun in my Mini Cooper.

All, thank you for the great compliments. Grandz Photography, yeah, I don't think I've ever seen the desert look like this in the last 25 years at least. I know it's happened before, and La Nina's are more and more rare. Temecula looked so dry this last weekend when we went wine tasting in March, it looked like late June. Thanks all for the great compliments. Scott
